Defined jawline after Geneo radiofrequency skin tightening in Charleston, SC

Geneo RF

Non-surgical tightening for mild laxity along the jaw and cheek. Comfortable, cumulative, and honest about its limits.

In short

Geneo radio frequency heats the dermis to contract existing collagen and stimulate new production, firming mild to moderate laxity along the jaw and cheek. Four to six sessions, no downtime, safe across all skin tones. It is not a substitute for surgery and we will say so.

Overview

What tightening can and cannot do.

Radio frequency occupies an awkward place in aesthetics because it is genuinely useful and relentlessly oversold. Heat in the dermis does contract collagen and does prompt new collagen — that is real, measurable and worth having. What it does not do is lift tissue that has descended, and the industry’s habit of implying otherwise leaves patients disappointed.

So here is the honest scope. If you look in the mirror and think the line of your jaw is a little softer than it was, RF across a series will help. If you can lift the skin at your cheek with your fingers and see the result you want, that is a surgical result and we will refer you rather than sell you six appointments.

Within that scope it is one of the easiest treatments we offer. It feels like a warm massage, it has no downtime whatsoever, it carries none of the pigment risk that restricts IPL, and it can be added to a GLO2 facial on the same Geneo platform — which is how most of our patients have it.

Where it helps

Four areas, mild to moderate.

01

Jawline

The most common request. Definition along the mandible where the line has softened.

02

Cheeks

Mild midface laxity, often alongside filler rather than instead of it.

03

Under-chin

Early submental softening, treated with realistic expectations.

04

Neck

Fine crepiness and mild laxity, usually treated alongside the jaw.

Honest about limits.

We would rather tell you that RF will not achieve what you are describing than take your money for six appointments that cannot deliver it.

Questions

Frequently asked.

What does Geneo RF do?

{{ s0 }}

Radio frequency heats the deeper layers of skin to a therapeutic temperature. Existing collagen contracts immediately, and the heat prompts new collagen production over the following weeks — so skin along the jaw and cheek reads slightly firmer and more defined.

Is RF a facelift?

{{ s1 }}

No, and any practice implying otherwise is misleading you. RF addresses mild to moderate laxity. If you have significant sagging, the honest answer is that a surgical consultation will serve you better, and we will tell you that.

How many sessions do I need?

{{ s2 }}

Four to six, spaced two to three weeks apart, then maintenance every six to twelve months. Results build gradually; the appointment itself produces only a subtle immediate tightening.

Does it hurt?

{{ s3 }}

No. It feels like a warm massage — genuinely one of the more pleasant treatments we offer. The handpiece is moved continuously and the heat stays comfortable.

Is there downtime?

{{ s4 }}

None. Mild pinkness for an hour at most. Makeup and normal activity immediately afterwards.

Can I add RF to a GLO2 facial?

{{ s5 }}

Yes — that is the most common way patients have it, since both run on the Geneo platform. Adding RF to your GLO2 appointment addresses laxity and skin quality in one visit.

Is RF safe for all skin tones?

{{ s6 }}

Yes. Radio frequency does not target melanin, so unlike IPL it carries no pigment-related risk and is appropriate across all skin tones and year-round in Charleston.
