Luminous glass skin after a GLACE facial in Charleston, SC

GLACE

The glass skin facial. Exfoliation, extraction and infusion in one pass — and no reason not to book it the day before.

In short

GLACE by Candela exfoliates, extracts and infuses serums through a single handpiece, producing the glass-skin finish — smooth, reflective, hydrated — with zero downtime. Extraction is by vortex suction rather than pressure, so it is comfortable even on sensitive skin.

Overview

The one you can book the day before the wedding.

Most treatments that genuinely resurface ask for something back — a few days of flaking, a week of redness, two weeks of hiding. GLACE does not. It works at the surface with water, suction and serum rather than heat or acid, which is why patients walk out looking finished rather than treated.

What it delivers is specific: hydration held in the top layers of skin, a clean pore, and a light-reflecting surface. That is the whole "glass skin" idea — not a change to your structure, a change to the way light hits you. Under photographs the difference is obvious.

It is our most-booked pre-event treatment in Charleston for a reason. Rehearsal dinner Friday, GLACE Thursday. Cocktails at the Yacht Club on Saturday, GLACE the same morning. Nothing about it needs recovery time.

How it works

Three actions, one handpiece.

01

Exfoliate

A fine abrasive tip lifts dead surface cells evenly — no acid sting, no grit, no post-treatment tightness.

02

Extract

Vortex suction empties congested pores painlessly. Charleston humidity makes this the step patients feel most.

03

Infuse

Serums are driven into freshly prepared skin in the same pass, which is why the hydration holds for days.

Questions

Frequently asked.

What is a GLACE facial?

{{ s0 }}

GLACE by Candela is a device-driven facial that exfoliates, extracts and infuses serums simultaneously through a single handpiece. The result is the "glass skin" finish — smooth, reflective, deeply hydrated — with no downtime at all.

Is GLACE the same as a hydrafacial?

{{ s1 }}

They belong to the same category of exfoliate-extract-infuse treatments, but GLACE is Candela's platform and uses its own tips and serum protocols. We chose it for the quality of the finish and how comfortable it is on sensitive Charleston skin.

How soon before an event should I book GLACE?

{{ s2 }}

This is the one you can book the day before. There is no peeling, flaking or redness — most patients look their best within a few hours. For a wedding, the day before or morning of is ideal.

Does it hurt?

{{ s3 }}

No. Extraction is done by vortex suction rather than manual pressure, which most patients find genuinely pleasant. There is no stinging and no post-treatment tightness.

How long does the glow last?

{{ s4 }}

Five to seven days from a single treatment. Monthly GLACE keeps skin in that state continuously, which is why it is one of the most-chosen member selections.

Can I have GLACE if I have rosacea or sensitive skin?

{{ s5 }}

Usually yes — it is one of the gentlest resurfacing treatments we offer and the serums can be selected to calm rather than stimulate. Your provider will confirm at assessment.
